Tuesday 12th august
Got to Paris early am and were lucky enough to be able to leave Dora at the hotel we were staying at in torcy. Bus and train to Paris City.
Thought we would check out the louvre first as Liam wanted to see the "moaning Lisa" . As typical, the louvre was closed on Tuesdays!! So we went to Starbucks haha. And bought a beret each from a souvineer shop so we could look like total tourists and embrace French culture totally.
Wandered along the seine via the lovelock bridge and did all that cheesey stuff before heading to the Eiffel Tower to attempt to meet the Sutherlands. Stupidly we did not make an actual meeting spot, forgetting that this was not like meeting some onE in nz. So after wandering for an hour we went to the Eiffel Tower lawn area and did some touristy snaps before catching a bus back to the train station.
We ended up jumping off the bus for a detour as Liam really needed a beats pill for the van (a cordless speaker so we can play music using Bluetooth) as the radio wasn't cutting the mustard. Even though all the songs are in English. So we did a bit of shopping before we heading back to the hotel for an early, but sleepless with excitement, sleep before the big two days at Disneyland!!!
Also we are far better prepared for meeting the sutherlands!

DISNEYLAND PARIS!! Met the Sutherland's (Kim, Toby and jody, minus Lisa as she was feeling sick) on the train bright and early to beat the crowds. Got our tickets and wouldn't you know it we are TOO early so had a quick breakie at Starbucks (repeat offenders) before joining the rush to be first on the best rides.
Disneyland was amazing, so well done with buildings and atmosphere. The first ride we went in was the Indiana jones ride and we took advantage of the no line and did it three times in a row to warm us up and get the adrenaline pumping. Spent the day in this park doing all the fast rides and nice we had done them a few times we worked out where the cameras were and planned epic faces.
At half 4 everyone started getting places around the main roundabout in Disneyland getting good places for the parade which we thought was ridiculous but, massive mistake in our part. Came back at 5:15 with 15 mins before the parade and it was packed out so we managed to elbow our way though the kids and prams to get an average spot. The parade was AMAZING - will be better prepared tomorrow to score a front row seat. We all tried to see who could get the most waves and smiles and high fives. Jody even scored a wink from a handsome prince but I bet she wasn't the only one!
After that it was off to the pub where Liam and Toby got carried away and bought steins of what was apparently (according to Liam) the best beer he's ever had! We managed to hit bang on happy hour, what a coincidence. Margot can finally drink again so that was quite a treat! The Sutherlands left to catch the train back to Paris but we still had a couple of hours before the parks shut so we had a wander around the wallet Disney movie park and tried out a couple of crazy rides. Very entertaining after a few drinks!! Very sore feet by the end of the day, we were at Disney from 9am until 11pm - still sooooo many children still out and about , waiting for the fireworks at 11 but seemed ridiculous!

Headed to Disneyland a bit later today which was a mare because the trains were so full you could only just squeeze onto them and everyone was pushed together like sardines. Yuck.
Lisa feeling better today so she was there too! We went to the Walt Disney park today and we got to show the Sutherlands the crazy new rides we had found -one was a roller coaster inside that had Aerosmith blaring and took you upside down on an angle and pretty much every way. The other was the tower of terror which is an elevator of a haunted hotel which takes you to the top so you can see the park and then drops you a couple of times which really got the tummy going.
Got to the parade early today so we were one back from the curb, was good as we also got to enjoy watching domestics as a random kid tried to push to the front and include itself with a family from the uk who had saved their place since half 3 . Hilarious.
Back to happy hour again and had a meal there this time too. Did one more ride - crush from finding nemo - after dinner and drinks which could've been a massive mistake but all was fine! Great way to end an epic two days at Disneyland seeing the Sutherlands (especially Kim she is so cool)
