Sunday 27th

Made it to cassis in the afternoon. Small seaside town. Funny as mum (Jenny) emailed and when I said I was in cassis she said she had also been here (years ago) when she biked through France! Very random. Met Seth and Megan who took us for a walk down to the beach (stoney!) for a swim . The coast around the town is little cliffs of rock that people lie on and jump off into the sea.

Then we wandered through to the main town which is right by the marina. We chose a restaurant right on the marina front and had the best pizza of our lives (can't wait for Italy then!!)

Had a few drinks with Seth and Megan at the camp site and sat around chatting

Monday 28th

Seth and Megan left us to pick up another couple ( Sam and korbyn) and then they were heading closer to Nice. since cassis was pretty awesome we stayed on another night and Thought we'd just have a cruisey beach day. So of course it turned out to be overcast. We decided to hire a kayak for 4 hours in the arvo and go on a wee adventure. The water was a bit choppy but there was a few little inlets which were amazing. We had bought a snorkel so we had a mint afternoon watching fish and swimming, even though it was a bit nippy. THe water was amazing,turquoise and very clear. Lots of boats around, we probably should've just hired a little boat but we both needed the exercise!

Tuesday 29th

Packed up camp and set off towards nice. Freedom camped at a truck stop just out of nice.
