Vienna is an amazing city! As the birthplace of Strauss and Schubert, the city is teeming with classical music, culture, and architectural beauty. Just walking down the streets of center city, my jaw dropped numerous times as I gazed at the old, historic biuldings, massive churches, ornate palaces, opera houses, and theaters. Almost everything I saw looked like it was at least 300 years old (and beautifully restored). The old city squares were similar to other squares we'd seen throughout Europe, except ten times bigger, and the outdoor market was a classy establishment, with high end restaurants and bars (a sharp contrast to those gritty markets in Asia and Eastern Europe). The negative side of staying in such a classy city, however, was that the prices were double what we were used to paying, and we felt under-dressed. Therefore, we left after one night. However, someday we will return, when we are older and have money!
