G'Day

Not too much to report today as it has been more of a doing day than a seeing day. Tried to lie in but still got up at 8.30 yes I know its late to some of you but we are bums now lazing around and enjoying life!!!

Once up Mel organised our next 4 days in Cairns with various things to do including Cape Tribulation, Karunda Railway, Tjapukai aboriginal experience and the Great Barrier Reef on Saturday so that is why we needed the lie in today!!!!

Took a leisurely stroll around the town as the heat and humidity is extreme and we still have not got to Darwin. Then returned to the hostel for a few hours to get our bags organised and dump some things we no longer need. Then as it started to cool down we took a walk to the night markets on the Esplanade the stalls sell everything you can imagine that you could print Australia on, or make out of Kangaroo or Crocodile!!!

Hence as we love that we ended up leaving with a crocodile made out of pistachio nuts!!!!!

Then it was back to the hostel via the bottle shop for vegetable noodles and to plan our 2 trips in the Northern Territory to Kakadu and Uluru (Ayers Rock) before an early night as yet again it's a 6.30am start for our Cape Tribulation day out.
