HI guys It's my turn to update the blog today (my first time) well what a day!!! We wandered around town this morning as it is very small it didn't take too long but we found a book shop so that killed some time. Then after a light lunch we headed for our whale watching adventure, now for all those who know me well they will be aware of my terrible fear of water so perhaps whale watching on a tiny rubber boat might not seem too sensible and you would be correct in thinking I am going a little mad. The boat trip was horrendous, the weather was bad so the sea was very rough with up to 10 metre swells and me sat there with just a lttle rope to hold onto - not good. I have never been so scared in my life, in fact I not only prayed to Buddha but to just about every god I could think of just to be on the safe side!!! We were drenched by the huge waves and feeling very sick. But we did see 3 beautiful humpback whales who were so graceful and just out of this world they were breaching right in front of us it was so very impressive and made the trip worth while. We both really enjoyed it in a weird kind of way especially when we were back on dry land with a stiff cup of hot chocolate (I would have prefered whisky but never mind). Some wise man once said to face your fear is to rid the fear - let me tell you he LIED!!!!!!!!! But we still had a great day and have just finished it off with a lovely home made pasta tea and some much needed wine. Lets see what tomorrow brings in Victoria but let me tell you whatever it is it won't involve any boats!!!! Love M & M XX
