After landing in Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand we picked up our camper van and began our road trip! The camper van is great, we paid a little bit extra for a four berth camper, which means we get a bed each and more room and facilities! The first day we just stocked up the fridge and slept...can't blame the jet lag, so the Gin and Cousin Andrew will have to be held accountable!

The next day we headed into Christchurch city centre for a little look around. We visited the cathedral, the botanical gardens and then went to Lyttleton to ride the Gondola 500m up a mountain for some great views over the crater lake, which was great, but prompted us to buy some warm clothes!! Christchurch was really nice, very English, particularly as we saw punting down the River Avon!
