Well what a start to the day, the fire alarm going off for the second time before 5am. Apparently there was a crazy kid setting off the alarm. Long story short....tired,want to leave this crap hotel.
So we headed off half asleep and headed to senoia. This is the town where they film walking dead and filmed driving miss daisy and fried green tomatoes. This is probably the cutest town I have ever seen. It looked like a film set but it is a town where people reside so we really enjoyed walking around.
Next stop is McIntyre the home of honey boo boo. Nothing too exciting there but we were pretty happy to take some snaps outside the "palace".
Next stop is savannah. I have been wanting to go to savannah ever since I watched steel magnolias. We started at the bonaventure cemetery. Even though it sounds depressing it was amazing. It was beautiful with all the hanging willows and historical grave sites.
Then off to our hotel. We didn't expect much but were pleasantly surprised at the huge room and friendly staff. We are right next to a supermarket so we headed over for salad as it is still quite warm here.
A swim to end the night and ready to get up early for a full day tomorrow.
