Friday's in this region seem to be spent brunching, otherwise known as heading to one of the nicer hotels and having a posh buffet and a drink or two. After a relaxed morning we got ourselves ready and ordered a couple of taxis to take us to the Fairmont hotel for our first sample of the brunch experience. An early start had Andrew, Mandy and the Shanks mothership on our way to Abu Dhabi via Frankfurt for a 10 day visit. We didn't get the best of sleeps due to jet lag so we headed for an early breakfast at the buffet and stuffed ourselves with as much as possible. Our flight wasn’t until later in the afternoon so we just lazed about at the hotel and enjoyed a cup of tea in the lounge before it was time to pack up and make the last leg of the journey.
