Firstly thanks for all your messages. The idea was to swim in the gulf of Mexico before leaving for the east coast. We were out of the Hotel before 7am and on the beach shortly after but guess what? We had a nice walk along the beach. The water was freezing. Just finished breakfast. Unfortunately really pigged out ( only me ) on 2eggs toast and a giant waffle with cream cheese and maple syrup. Thought we would get a taste for Cuba before arrival. Now in Naples on the west coast of Florida having drove from Miami through the Evaglades A really nice drive with no housing or buildings of any kind for 3 hours. Naples is a up-market pristine town with great shops and restaurants. Pics to follow
