We left Krabi on the 8am bus for the 12 hour journey to Bangkok. The bus journey was not too bad with plenty of stops although there was an older lady sitting behind us who was excessively burping!! On Saturday, we decided to visit Railay beach as beth had read that the beach was really good and the rock formations around the beach were pretty spectacular. To get to the beach, we had to take a local bus to Ao among beach and then catch a longtail boat to Railay beach. We left Ko Lanta early on Thursday morning with our taxi picking us up from the hotel for the 5 minute journey to the ferry terminal at about 8 o clock. As we are getting used to in Asia, the driver was determined to fit as many people in his taxi (which was basically a pick up truck with seats in the back) and we reckoned he got 10 in plus luggage. Today we said farewell to Malaysia and headed to our first stop in Thailand, Koh Lanta. We had booked our tickets through a travel agency to make life a little easier and were told that it would take around 6 and a half hours altogether consisting of 2 ferries and 1 bus.
