I'm writing this on our final night in Ko Phagnan after 3 weeks here. We can't believe how quickly our time here has went and we've loved every minute.

We got the ferry from Ko Samui on a Monday when the weather was pretty awful. The crossing was a bit choppy but thankfully it only took half an hour and the transfer to our hotel was only around 20 minutes up the west coast of the island. We have stayed in a bungalow at Sun Moon Star Resort at Haad Yao beach and we've really liked the room. We have had a great balcony which we've enjoyed sitting on in the afternoon and at night. The beach here at Haad Yao is fantastic and at times it's felt as though we were the only two people on the beach. We've spent every day down at the beach and ate at one of the few restaurants down on the beach. We hired a scooter for a day and visited a few other beaches up the coast from us but they weren't anywhere near as nice as our beach at Haad Yao. Unfortunately, whilst we had the scooter for the day, we got caught in a particularly heavy shower and had to cut short our trip to the various different beaches.

To Beth's consternation, we have also been able to watch the World Cup here even though the time difference has been shocking for the games. At least England got knocked out early an there was no false hope this time.

Overall, we've had a great time on Ko Phagnan and its been perfect for us as we come to the end of our trip. We now go back to Ko Samui for a week tomorrow morning and its now only 3 and a bit weeks until we are home!!
