Arrived in Vienna without any difficulties We had 6 pm meeting and met the other 7 people travelling with us 3 from NZ 1 from Queensland and 3 from Melbourne Looks a good group Our guide is Olga and she looks like keeping up the standard we have come to expect from Intrepid. She is Polish and can speak about 4 languages
Yesterday we went to another country for lunch .After about an hour in the train we arrived in Bratislava which is now the capital of Slovakia (previously part of Czechoslovakia) It an ancient town .We were given a bit of its history and then left to explore. Rejoining for a lovely lunch in a leafy alfresco setting The dark beer was excellent
We found a statue of Stalin(see photo) that even Olga did not know about and after a little tram ride, a tower climb we set off for our trip home and a quiet night

Anita and John Another country for lunch!! Does it get any better? Sounds like a good mix in your touring party and small enough to still be personal. Weather looks as though it has been good, shorts and T's most photos. Shame about our swimmers not having much luck but still got the womens 4x4 to come maybe that will bring us a gold! Bumped into Geoff Smitham yesterday he was out walking he goes back to the Drs today. Love Anita and John xx
