We really enjoyed Berlin but Munich beckoned. I know I go on about them but the trains are great Zipping through the countryside reading snoozing playing cards makes an enjoyable journey This is topped of with a meal of cheese and German bread and white wine that we brought on board with us
On arrival in Munich it was rush hour so it was crowded on the local train to get to our suburb Haidhausen Right choice again in that it a well to do suburb with many restaurants. On checking in we ventured to the local Wursthaus Huge meal served by wenches and lads in leather pants
I think we are ready for Intrepid as we needed a rest day We had a look at the Olympic Stadium and then came back to the hotel for a siesta Lyndon went to the local stream for a dip in the ice cold waters where many locals were enjoying the sunshine
The planned Segway tour was booked out so we settled for a beer and brewery tour Unfortunately there was only us and he needed 5 but he did direct us to a Bier Garten. Wow half of Munich was there with an oompah band playing and beer served by the litre. I suppose if you live in an apartment you would grab the opportunity of a balmy evening to get out As is usual you share tables and we had a meal of beautifully cooked roast chicken Marilyn, chatting up a couple good looking German lads. Meals and beer served very efficiently on a servery basis and then go out via a check out
On the way to the Englisch Gardens we stopped to view the surfers. Here a fast running stream/canal creates a wave as it surges over a drop Surfers in their wetsuits ride the wave and when he/she falls off another jumps in.
After a fortnight of self planning i.e, reading maps negotiating public transport we are ready to start our tour with Intrepid
Off to Vienna today

Jenny Enjoy your organised tour. I know just doing last minute checks with our itinerary. Just off to Karen's birthday .
Anita and John As always you sound as though you are having a ball.Lyndon you be careful you don't fall into that bucket of beer your drinking, you will drown !! Marilyn make sure those young Germans you're eyeing off are as well trained as the one you've got !! Red and Tania are in London for the Olympics so we are getting lots of texts, they were at the opening ceremony last night said it was amazing. Crows went down by 27points today to Geelong, I didn't see the game I was up on the Torrens doing a camera course, which was terrific, $39 on Scoopon gee it was good value AND the rain held off till we finished. Daniel and a few mates went over to Melbourne for the footy last night, not a good night for Dan the bombers went down to Hawks by 94pts they were shocking. Till next blog xx
Colleen & Geof Sounds wonderful!!!
John & Margaret Andrews Thanks for the updates, your experiences all sound great. Fantastic photos. We are both very envious of you and the weather. Central beat Glenelg by 34 pts.
Fariborz Seriously, don't sweat them. Real life gets in the way and all you can do is compromise it with what you want and what you need to do. Some pepole don't seem to understand that. Or maybe they do and just don't care and think that you're doing them a service instead of just wanting to share a story with them on your own free time. Keyword being free time .I am amazed at the amount of sheer entitlement pepole have in this day and age. Not just for webcomics but for just about any form of entertainment media. I'm sick of hearing pepole demanding that things go their way at the expense of what the creator intended just because they didn't like it. Seriously, those type of pepole need a life, preferably one away from the keyboard. All in all I'm glad you're doing better and that you got job and I just hope you'll be able to continue to share your story with us, rather the updates be late or on time. :)
