Uneventful flight, it's about 9.5 hours but on an older plane so the tele screens were on the bulkhead so couldn't even see the movies if i wanted to. Coming in to land was impressive looking down on Pearl Harbour and the US Navy ships moored. Landed looking over at about 10 C5's parked. Landed at 0935 local time and got a shuttle straight to the hotel. They were going to ring us when the room was ready so we wandered down to the beach to have a look. I didn't sleep on the flight over so I had just passed 24 hours awake so starting to get sleepy. Karen wanted to check out Macy's so I went and and had a few beers in Jimmy Buffets Margarita Bar. Came back to the hotel at 2pm, room still not ready but they gave us another one. Slept until 6pm, then shower and out for a drink. We found a good ( and not too overcrowded (sat night )) bar and steakhouse/Mexican. It was great, tried a new beer called Dos Equis ( pronounced doseckies). It is a nice Mexican beer. Karen had sizzling fajitas and I had the large pork ribs. Huge feast and couldn't eat it all. After the beers and good feed went back to the room for a good nights sleep. Planning to book tours etc tmw.
