b***** all sleep from the previous night in the fantastic motel (NOT). Off to Monument Valley about 200k down the track today. Very interesting drive through Navajo Indian Tribal Lands, there is a lot of poverty out there. Some parts of the drive I could have been back in WA around Meekatharra or Cue. Monument Valley stands out from miles out, very imposing and massive. Paid our fee to enter and was excited to see the cliffs and Mesa's and also a bit disappointed. It was a long drive to get there then a long drive to get anywhere from there. You can take all the nice pictures but you can't get close to them. Oh well it was one of those things I wanted to do. The track/circuit around the valley is a dirt track and suitable for cars but very rough with potholes and washouts. We finished the circuit and started heading back in the general direction of Vegas. We arrived in Page Arizona about 3pm and decided to stay here tonight. Across the road was Big Johns Texas BBQ. Sounds good but wasn't. Couldn't even get through half the meal, It was ****. Oh well we are not exactly in Vegas yet. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
