We enjoyed a really interesting drive today. We were on the Goyder Highway, then the Barrier Highway. There were acres and acres of fields, maybe wheat or hay? As we were driving into Burra there were ploughed fields as far as the eye could see. Not a tree in sight!
We had morning tea at a pretty little town called Crystal Brook. What a picturesue town with a very welcoming feel to it. We both loved it. It was apparently named after the spring-fed creek on the outskirts of the town.
And we found a fantastic bakery - well, we decided it definitely was NOT too early for one of their delicious sausage rolls. Everything just looked so delicious. I think this is a town I would love to come back to some day.
We headed once again into Morgan for our lunch stop on the Murray, and on the drive there was saltbush as far as the eye could see, and maybe some Dorper sheep which feed on the saltbush. A very interesting breed.
It is now 23 degrees and a lovely sunny day.
