CANBERRA - Friday 7th April, 2017
Once again we commenced our pack up for our long trek across the Nullarbor. This entailed car and van service, and medical checks for us as well. Went to pick up the Van from Bomaderry A'Van and found it full of water. Now we had had a lot of rain, but this was ridiculous! Anyway, we had to dry everything out - much grumbling from us (but particularly me) - and re-commenced the packing. Not sure what happened and the mechanic couldn't shed any light on it either. Ho hum!! A great start!
Our first stop was, of course, Canberra to spend time with the family, and Uncle Chris also arrived for the weekend.
We had a lovely few days with them, and had a really lovely day at the van with Arna.
She just loved it all, playing in the park, lunch in the van, afternoon tea in the camp kitchen, climbing trees and just generally pottering around. We'll make a camper out of her yet.
Belinda said she slept from about 7pm to 8am so she was very happy. We had worn her out, and vice versa.
Once we left she had a practice in her sleeping bag ready for their campout in the backyard to wait for the Easter Bunny. She had such fun by the fire and snuggling up in the tent to wait for the much awaited Easter eggs! All great fun.
