Thursday 13th April, 2017.
We had an early start to Mildura across the Hay plain.
We enjoyed morning tea at Hay and lunch at a rest stop.
Kev had trouble with his credit card at Hay, so our first stop in Mildura was the Commonwealth Bank. We drove into the busiest, largest shopping complex in Mildura on the Thursday before Easter!
The staff were very helpful, but couldn't understand the problem. They ordered a new card for him and decided to send it on to the caravan park in Denmark, where we were staying for a week. Very good service but sharing a credit card is not much fun.
Our friend, Pat, who we were meeting in Mildura Caravan Park then rang to say the park was not very good and looked a bit run down. Not a real good start I was thinking and hoped it would get better.
But once we arrived at the park, we all settled down, had a cuppa, then happy hour and all was right with the world. We had "nested" into our surroundings and considering it was Easter long weekend, the park was fairly quiet.
We had a nice grassy spot with lots of room to ourselves so we were quite happy.
Good Friday 14th April, 2017.
We spent today just catching up with Kevin & Pat and sorting ourselves out. We had some other A,vanners staying in Mildura, Dan & Trish, so we met them in town down by the Murray River for fish 'n chips for dinner, and it was just beautiful.
We enjoyed the balmy evening on the riverbank and watched a beautiful sunset.
