Rain......tunnel.......rain........tunnel.........rain.......fleeced at the Mont Blanc tunnel.......rain.......more rain. Driving through the Alps and clouds was pretty spectacular. The rain briefly stopped for us at Chamonix for lunch but then lashed it down all the way to Annecy. Took a ride through Marseille to look at the Old Port and then spent the next hour trying to find our way out again. It was a bit like "The Prisoner". Then did exactly the same in La Vasselle when a diversion and the Satnav kept sending us round in circles. Eventually made it to Grimaud where Bru made an impression in the swimming pool (see picture).

Left the vineyard this morning after crisps and vin blanc for breakfast and for some reason Bru insisted on taking a detour to La Grande Motte. Was laughing his socks off as he took the picture. Anyway it was a very nice marina. Stopped at a couple of seaside towns on the way to the digs for yet more snacks and to cool down (30*). Currently enjoying drinks at the side of a harbour in Martigues pretending to be part of the yachting community.
