Day 12- that picture is part of the whit sundays, just to be confusing

we left daydream island for dryland! from Airlie beach we set off for an over night stop on a farm. We had another really long drive, through the sugar fields in Mackay to a place called Rockhampton, the Beef capital of Australia, and also I think the murder capital..nice, although we went so many places i cant remamber if thats right, the Beef bit is. we also crossed a place called the tropic of capricorn where the tropical weather was suppost to stop and it would get colder...that didnt happen!

anyway back to the farm. we got there about 5 and saw wild kangaroos on the way in. it was then 26,000 acres of farm land owned by one family. we went on a quick tractor ride round some of their land before having drinks and a really good home cooked beef dinner. our bedrooms that night were old plane hangers and they had a big barn with a bar, where there was karaoke. we also went outside and they taught us how to crack whips indiana jones style, good fun
