Another busy day. Went to The Old Town this morning, which is a living museum of restored and reconstructed buildings which are now stores, stables, saloons and restaurants. Drove from Park up to La Jolla ( pronounced Hoya). Another upmarket resort just north of San Diego. Advertised as San Diego's Rodeo Drive because of the expensive shops and exclusive galleries. Anyway we weren't there for the shopping. It's an Ocean Conservation Area, absolutely swarming with sea lions. They make an incredible racket and stink to high heaven. They are photogenic too. The Gaslamp Quarter is a renovated Victorian area of San Diego. Very trendy! Lots of bars, restaurants, hotels and independent shops. Not always been like that though!
