Arrival time 08:41, is exactly that not a minute before or a minute after. From around 05:30 started seeing some really spectacular scenery, both countryside and seaside. Beautiful villas, towns and lots of boats as we passed thru Toulon, Cannes, Antibes and finally Nice. Got to spend the day walking around the town and orientating ourselves. Well, this was interesting. Not what I would refer to as 1st class travel, but then what do I know. Thank goodness we had had lunch earlier as there was nothing offered on the train, apart from the 2 bottles of water in the cabin. Nothing else to do but go to sleep.

Arrived at the train station to catch our train to Nice. Finally managed to get all the bags into the train car. When they say departing at 21:23 the mean it, no warning just off we go.

Once again beautiful champagne. Their cellars stretch son 28km's and are on 3 levels, the lowest being some 30m's underground. Got to see a special vintage - Don Perignon, which has been aging for the last 40 years, and is still aging.
