Versailles - once again, skip the line. Got to see the State Apartments, Hall of Mirrors and magnificent gardens but no fountain display. To be honest, apart from the gardens and the buildings themselves found the palace rather disappointing. Total lack of personality as all rooms (apart from the bedrooms, which only really had a bed in) were all empty. You actually don't get a sense of how they actually lived, or just how ostentatious their lives were. The French do need to learn something about cleanliness.
Received Elise's 'travel scooter' - had a real good laugh at ourselves trying to assemble it. Warns you about lots of potential driving hazards, but nothing about drinking and driving, after all we are talking Elise here. It will certainly fit in with the mode of transport here, cars, scooters, bicycles, skates.... And now 3 wheeler scooter. Here goes......
