I had a pretty long drive to Gails house today of about four hours. First, the road went alongside the railway track with mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. When the road turned inland I had to drive through hilly farm country. At Blenheim, I drove through the vineyards and then up through the mountains again. At Nelson the road went alongside the coast where there are sandy beaches. Eventually I found Gails house but her directions weren't detailed enough and I drove past her road twice. I went to the racecourse with Gail and her neighbour Pam to look at a horse which Gail could buy for just $150. The horses have a hard life if they don't make the grade for racing.
