I forgot to say that on the way down the mountain I had to drive down a road that looked just like the one in the picture with loads of Merino sheep jumping in front of the car. Oamaru is quite a large town and I am staying in the historic part of it which means that a couple of streets round here and full of 1860s limestone buildings. This morning I drove for about three hours south to Oamaru (home of Little Blue and Yellow-Eyed penguins). The drive was nice with views of the lakes and mountains.
