i set off on the Southern Scenic Route to the Catlins. I have to say the it isn\'t that scenic and just reminded me of home with fields of sheep and cows. When I arrived at the hostel there was no-one there so I went for a drive. Unfortunately, anything worth seeing is down very long gravel roads and I don\'t like driving on them. I met a nice English couple called Meg and Simon who were the only other people staying in the hostel which was just like a small cottage. The weather was atrocious with torrential rain so there was not a lot to do . I just sat and watched the TV with Meg and Simon.
