After leaving rainbow we headed up to Harvey Bay, apparently australias retirement home, where we had a compulsory over night stop. I'd heard very bad things about Harvey so I was glad we only had one night here. It didnt seem that bad when we got there, the bay was nice and it was heaps bigger than Rainbow, but if every tour guide tells you that even the birds fly upside down over it because even they wouldnt s*** on it then it cant have been good! Well ive just managed to get all the sand out of my crevaces now after my 3 day tour to fraser island, the biggest sand island in the world, what an experience. We started early at half 7 setting up our vans, there were 10 of us in one van. We had to get 4 tents 2 eskies and heaps of food and alcohol onto the roof of one of these 4x4's and make sure it stayed there over lots of bumps, and this was all while it was pissing down with rain, but we managed it.
