We left Airlie with a bus driver who had just been robbed while he selpt, at least thats what he told us, but he was supprisingly chilled out about it and made the journey up to magnetic a good laugh. We got to magnetic and checked into base hostel, it was the day after their famous full moon party and so most people were still in bed when we got there dispite the fact it was 4 in the afternoon. We had been a bit gutted that we'd missed out on the party, by one day, but from what we'd been told we hadd'nt missed that much. We spent the first day just chilling out on the beach catching up on a deffinate lack of sleep! The next day we hired a lovely mini car and went exploring round the island in convoy with the manc girls. We checked out all the bays and did the forts walk where we saw koalas in the wild. The cars we had were wicked and marcus even let me have a little go at driving in the carpark, im not 21 so i couldn't drive it legaly. We had a bit of a reunion with everyone from the sailing trip that night which was cool its very weird how eveyone seems to go up the coast at the same time, but i suppose everyones doing the same thing.

W e left magnetic the next morning on the final leg of our journey, we were finaly headed to Cairns!
