NYE 2007/8 - Well what can i say the biggest night in Sydney has arrived, its come around so quick, i can't believe it! I got up to the realisation that i had no clothes to wear, because the washing machine had broken, so me Will and Rob went down to the laundret and payed an extortionate 16 bucks to get our washing done (we're sure andrew and the laundret are running some scam). The others all got there booze and headed down to the bottom of Darling St., which is where we were told where the some of the best uncrowded views, while we waited for our washing. To pass the time we cooked a vat of pasta to take down for everyone and brought shed loads of alcohol and ice to keep it all fresh. By the time our washing was done and we had got down to the park it was about 4ish and the park was filling up. We spent a good few hours chilling out with a few bevys and played some uno, until 9 o'clock when the kids fireworks started. Considering these were just supposed to be a small version of the big ones we were very impressed and were all left wondering how good the proper ones would be. With a few beers in the time past very quickly and it soon hit midnight and the fireworks went off with a bang. Unfortunatly there was no count down so no-one really new when the new year had started but everybody was too busy admiring the fireworks to care. Lots of hugs and 3 briken eskes later we started the mish home to the shabby house and tried to convince a few people to join us, that didnt go so well, so we just stayed up drinking with everyone at the house.
New Years Day 2008 - HAPPY NEW YEAR! As you can expect most people wernt really up to doing much today, there was a small hardcore of people who decided to carry on drinking but most of us were like no, so we decided to head down to the park and play a bit of football. The rest of the day was spent sleeping so yer.
02/01/08 - Today i planed to go to the botanical gardens but this did not happen, instead we went to the balmaine baths which was a good laugh and something a bit different. Decided to shave my head!
03/01/08 - Actually made it to the botanicals today after watching I am Legend, quality film, nearly made me cry big Willy Smith is a legend. The gardens where good only went there really to see Mrs. Macurries point which had impressive views. Its thursday today so it was world bar for Al and Stefs last night, too bad they never actualy made it! (''Í'm just tipsy you havent seen me proer fooked" - Al Burns, 5 mins later hes on the foor) World bar was okay decided i wasn't going to drink too much which i think was a good decision, after though, it all kicked off! Jay got punched a couple of times, lee lost his passport and Stef nearly broke her arm! Everythings okay now though.
04/01/08 - Despite most people only getting a few hours sleep most of us managed to make it to the 3rd day of the 2nd test between Australia and India, i say most of us 'cause Jay never made it. It was a very hot but good day and managed to see Tendulka hit 150 runs which was kl, i got myself a nice hat and it was good to just chill out in the sun and watch some cricket.
05/01/08 - Back to work today :( On the plus side it was the start of the sydney festival and all the events where free! Army Phil persuaded us to go to the dance event: an open air stage in the middle of martin place plump DJs where the highlight.
