Christmas Eve - Well i was made to work today boo hoo! But after i finished headed back to the shabby house to try and sort out what we are going to do for the big day tomorrow, after a lot of deliberating me marcus and jo decided to head down to Woolworths to get some BBQ stuff and crackers (which for some reason are called bon bons, i know weird.) Unfortunatly woolworths had sold out of bon bons so we had to beg a little corner shop to open up for us so that we could buy some. We got chatting to the owners and they pursuaded us to have a breakfast BBQ and take the left overs down to bondi beach ( we had been considering coogie but apparently thats gangland!) In the evening we went down to the rocks and did a pub crawl round the pubs and bars, starting at the oldest pub in sydney. We did one schooner in each and ended up in an irish themed bar with the oddest band ive seen in the world: it consited of a middle aged woman on vocals, reading the lyrics off a piece of paper and a man (possibly her son) on mimeing the guitar. They played some christmas classics and it was a bit of a laugh watching them. After leaving that bar we discovered that all the other pubs in the rocks were closed, some people went to side bar, but i was a bit bored of that place so me, Phil, Marcus, Rob and Lee went to Jacksons on george which was right by the harbour and was a nice change cause it seems recently that we've just been going to the same places over and over. Phil was absolutly classic that night.
Christmas Day 25/12/07
Well its the big day today, and surprise surprise its cloudy (sods bloody law), we got up and had our breakfast barbie, kangaroo steak is not so great with a hangover, i chucked my shrimp on the barbie which i was well pleased about! After chilling out for a bit we decided it was probably about time to hit the beach, even with the bad weather, we had to have christmas on Bondi. It was no where near as packed as we had expected, i guess the alcohol ban and the weather were the cause of that, but we still had a great time. Phil, Lee and Jo went off to Sunburnt ( a club event in bondi pavilion) and the rest of us indulged in a bit of beach rugby, which sporned some lovely injuries. My team won after some cockyness from Emille backfired and we scoreed the, next try wins try. Me, Rob and Dave were the only ones brave enough to go swimming, but it had to be done really, unfortunatly after we had got out someone had to be rescued after almost drowning and it was all caught on camera by a reality TV show. We headed back from the beach about 6 and went down to Tigers to try and get a proper christmas dinner, it was quite as good as yours Mum but it was filling, we then discovered that Tigers does free pool on public holidays and had a pool tournament, which i of course came last in, yes!
Boxing Day
Today was of course brilliant sunshine, well it was always going to be. Me and Marcus did the beach walk from Bondi to Coogi (the others all went straight to Coogi.) It took us 3 hours to do a 1 hour walk, we both take ridiculous amounts of photos, stopping for a swim on Tamarama ( we didnt have time to swim on the others) and walking over Bronte and Cloverly. When we finally made it to Coogi the others were about to leave, but we had time for a couple of swims before we had to get back to Phils Boxing day BBq Bonanza (burgers, buns, baps and babes!)
