On our first day in Salta we went for a look around at midday but after walking around and asking we realised that in Argentina between 12 and 5pm most places close so they can go for a afternoon nap! Lazy! But the weather was really nice and we even found a salon so after three and a half hours in the hairdressers I came out with no roots and Luke came out with no beard!! That evening we met with Alex from Germany and we walked to meet the guys from Isral and following a recommendation we ate at the best steak house in Salta called Jacks. In Jacks you get to walk up to the chef and pick what meat you would like and he even cut the steak with a spoon it was that good. After this we all took a taxi to the local bars and hung out there watching a local band play.
The next day we went for a picnic in the local park which was lovely and then just chilled on our roof terrace as we wanted to go on the cable car but it was out of service for today. We also booked our bus from Salta to Iguzu and the buses in Argentina are so expensive but it's still cheaper than flying so we had to pay it. In the evening we met with some friends Sashi and Mushi from Oz who we met in Cusco and they brought along friends Matt, Anika, Ben and Jason and they also had been recommended a place to eat so we walked to the restaurant and when we arrived it was Jacks again but we didn't mind as we loved it. As we entered the restaurant Gary potter was sitting there lol so he also joined us and told us he was getting the same bus as us in the morning to Iguzu and so was Jason and Ben!
The next morning we got up early before the bus left and jumped on the cable car with Gary Potter to view Salta from up high which was really nice. Then we all got on the bus for 23 hours which was a nice journey actually as we had huge seats, wifi and really nice food and before we knew it we arrived in Iguzu around 3pm.
