We got the bus early Friday morning from La Pas to Oruro which took around four hours and it was a public bus so this was an experience and then we got a train from Oruro to Uyuni. We arrived at 10:30pm so we got a taxi to our hostel. The next morning we got up early to get booked onto a tour of the Salt Flats which left around 10:30. After several attempts to get the bus to Bolivia and being told it was not safe to travel we eventually got given the go ahead on the Saturday to travel in the evening.
