Arrived in party town! It's yet another tiny town. The 2 streets are lined with bars that have bed like seats and friends on the tv. Had dinner with the gang then hit the buckets of vodka and had a night out in the one bar that stats open till midnight! The town is full of hippy looking travellers and the age range doesn't hit much over 30.

On our second day we did what vang vieng us all about, tubing.

Have to hire your tubes then get a tuk tuk up river. We kitted ourselves out in the necessary gear, t shirts, fake ray bans and waterproof pouches. Stopped at the first bar which is the biggest and the busiest. Such a chilled out atmosphere, no idea why people do summer seasons in the med when you can come here.

We were itching to get in our tubes so made our way down river (mild drama when the man refused to give our rings back!). Bobbed down to bar number 2, gotta dodge the rocks on the way. Stopped at a bar and the guys braved a slide into the river.... Craziness. We got in the rings again with the intention of making it to the end. Had to be back by 6 and started pouring with rain so we bailed and got in a much needed tuk tuk.

Arrived back in town soggy with broken flip flops but happy. Had another night out with the girls and bumped into one of our old tour members. Sad to leave.
