It was a 5am call time for angkor wat. Met our tour guide for the day and made our way to see sun rise at the temple. It was an eerie experience being at the temple in the dark with hundreds of other tourists. You're never guaranteed to see the sun rise but we were lucky to see a bright red sun appear over the towers of the temple. We ended Sunday night with a night out on kao San road when we finally found it after a dubious but free bus journey, abuse from a drunk tramp and many invites to ping pong shows. It's a crazy street rammed with people and selling all kinds of junk. Had a lovely evening with street food, a bucket of long island iced tea and an amazing Thai singer.
