So we arrived in Jasilmer on the 30th Jan around 6.30am after a long night train, and managed to get a hotel with hot showers....bliss!!! We spent the day checking out camel safari's and booked one for the next day. 6.30am was the pick up the next morning and an hours drive into the dessert. We met our guides and the camels and sat round the fire having breakfast watching the sun rise over the dessert....a pretty good start! After a really quick introduction ...

We left Agra really early to catch the 6.15am train to Jaipurwhihc ended up being 3 hours late ;0) We had along debate about whether to eat in the station cafe (loosly termed!) and in the end we were so starving we did, was actually pretty good (compared to the three bags of spicy tomato crisps we'd already eaten that morning!) and none of us were ill....... In Jaipur we visted the Amber Palace which was ok and then went to the Monkey Palace which was a great v...

So we arrived in Delhi a pretty crazy city full of all the hustle and bustle you would expect from an Indian city....and a hell of a lot of dirt!

Arrived at the 'Blue City' on 27th Jan. We did a tour of the Meherangarh Fort using the audio guide (as recommended) which was actually pretty good, the voiceover was hilarious - an extremly plummy Indian guy!! The best fort we have seen and great views of the city. Next day we went to Jaswant Thada a memorial for some Maharaja as you can usually get great photo's of teh Fort but the weather was not great so the photo's were pretty rubbish. We did have breakf...
