So after Bali and a brief stop over in Singapore we headed across the border to Malaysia, down to the SE coast for an island called Tioman. It was the lure of good diving that took us there and it was pretty nice. So we're back on the road.........after a sad farewell to Sydney our lovely home for the last year we crammed our backpacks full (never did get traveling light!) and flew back to Bali.This time we stayed in Kuta and having only driven through previously it was a bit different arriving late at night into the heart of the backpacker area. It was full of Brit's and Ozzie's staggering around hammered all about 10 year younger than us, we felt very old and a bit squa...

So after 20 flights, numerious train and bus journey and a fair bit of hiking we've made it to Sydney! To say it has been fantastic doessn't really do the trip or the company justice but it's the best word i can think of. We've had a few tense moments, a few tears but most of all a lot of laughs and really couldn't of wished it to be any better than it was - nor our travel comanions. Now it's on to the next stage in our plans a year in Sydney........... lets hope...

After the cold and snow of the south island we left NZ for the final stop on our trip, Vanuatu. The first few days we had in Pot Villa, Vanuatu were spent in bed with flu, but i guess we'd had a pretty good run of it health wise so couldn't complain too much. From Malborough Sounds we travelled inland a bit to Arrowtown, it was originally a gold digers town and was like something out of the wild west.
