On 12 May I went to Cordoba, another city in Argentina, with Polly, Leila and Clem for the weekend. Cordoba is a lovely city; it has the oldest Uni and the oldest Cathedral in Argentina. The architecture of these buildings is beautiful, and on the Friday we spent the morning just walking around/or having a drink outside around one of the Plazas. We also went to a small, but very good, art museum. As it was sunny we spent the afternoon in Parque Sarmiento. In the evening we went for a pizza in Nueva Cordoba, the trendy student part of the city.
On the Saturday we took a bus to La Cumbre in order to go hand-gliding. However, we were unable to do it because they were filming! Nevertheless, we had a lovely afternoon just walking around and admiring the mountains. On our return to Cordoba we played pool and then went for a meal in an area known as Cerro de las Rosas.
As our coach wasn't leaving til Sunday evening we killed time by going to a craft market, having a lazy lunch and drinks, and playing pool.
All in all a good weekend away!
