Date: 29th April 2011
Place: Koh Tao
Weather: a bit overcast and it actually rained!! But still hot
It was the normal routine today of getting up and going to have my leg sorted out straight away. I took my laptop so that I could go into the café on the way back and it turned out that Aimee and Jess were already in there. We sat in there for a few hours having breakfast and sorting a few things out on the internet.
After that we filled our day of doing nothing partly with a wonder around town and got an ice cream. Then, after going back to the resort and sitting in the sun for a little while, Aimee and I went back to the café to put her pictures online and to look for hostels in the Koh Samui. I think we spent a good few hours in that café.
Back in the resort the Royal Wedding was on on TV so we decided to watch it so we could see her dress. Turned out a lot of other people had the same idea. Whilst we were watching it my attention was distracted by the biggest Gecko I have ever seen!!
That evening I decided to go to on Skype since I could go up to the café and use it for free and everyone was at home so I could see the whole family. Turned out I chose a bad time because the new couple coming onto a balcony was more interesting than speaking to me for the first time in three weeks!
We then had the BBQ from the resort, which is always incredible. Whilst eating Emma mentioned she was getting a tattoo the next day which gave Ness a craving for one. We all went with her and she ended up getting a bird on her ankle. Next day she left but she emailed us saying thanks for a great trip and she will think of us all whenever she sees the god awful tattoo!
Whilst waiting for her to have her tattoo we sat in a bar that was attempting to 'save Koh Tao from bad music' by not playing people like Lady GaGa and Akon. After a few drinks, Aimee and I decided we would go to bed but on the way back we heard music so obviously ran in its direction!
Turned out it was coming from Lotus Bar which is one we had been told was really good. We had a bit of a dance on the beach but still head back pretty early.

Gran Overcast/rain today = a taste of the LONDON Royal Wedding experience! Hard to imagine it was being covered on TV so far away, even though we knew it was a worldwide thing. Still gutted we didn't all Skype, especially as it seemed longer than 3 weeks since we saw you. PLEASE don't have a tattoo... unless you're 100% certain about the hygiene aspects. But even then... ? You might regret it later!
