Place: Darwin
Weather: Sunny and hot
After going to sleep at 6am I woke up at 9.30am when the girls were going out to look at a car they wanted to buy. I was tirreedd!!! I stayed in for a little while then just chilling until the girls came back. They were then off to the job agency and I went to meet them at the library after that so we could all use the free wifi.
There isn't really all that much to do in Darwin, and by going to the lagoon we had basically done it all. So I decided that afternoon, since I was so tired that I would just have a power nap. It worked better than I thought because normally I cant sleep in the afternoon.
Once I got up again I had a quick shower before Romy and I walked down to the Sunset market. It was really cool, it reminded me a lot of Christmas markets at home. Just less cold and not Christmassy. There were loads of souvenir stalls and then lots of stalls with different cuisines on them. I was gutted then that I was scrimping because it would have been awesome to have some thai or Vietnamese food again.
Whilst we were walking around all the power kept turning off though which was quite funny. It didn't stop anyone shopping, we all just got torches out and carried on as normal.
We walked back after a short time there and I got ready for my trip the next morning. The girls had met some Aussie lads who invited us all out for drinks at the Tap. We went out for a little while and met Kim, James and a few other people. Kim and James were taking Romy and Sophie to Litchfield to go camping for a night and visiting the less touristy places. It sounded sooo tempting and they were really trying to convince me to go.
The only issue with the plan was that I was relying on the Adventure tours trip to feed me and then drop me at the airport. I would also have needed to pay for another nights accommodation. James said that they were buying all the food and that I could stay at his apartment with him and his flat mates for the other night and then he would take me to the airport. It was all so tempting and at that point I was pretty much convinced, even though never fully!
Even just before going to bed I was talking to Romy constantly changing my mind. In the end that night I decided to go with them because it meant I had an extra day to find the guys with my camera (that I hadn't successfully done yet after knocking on their door all day), I had also been looking for them out that night but no luck! I could have also gone to see the guys at the rodeo that Friday night and had free tickets and then it would have been a true aussie experience there.

Gran There's LOADS to do in Darwin!!! Some of it's free, though I guess most is quite costly. Did you see the "Tour Tub"?... a little on-off bus that did a circuit round all the interesting sites. Lots more to do when you go back....
