After spending an hour in immigration with the entire contents of my bag being emptied and searched through i made it into Perth. I have spent the last week living in luxury at Emmas aunts house. Clean washing, fluffy towels and home cooked meals... it has been bliss especially as i have had a bad cold and sore throat. I am on the road to recovery now tho :-).
I had jet lag when i first got here, as i had to adjust to the 6 hour time difference and the fact that i was up for 48 hours as didn’t sleep much on overnight flight. I slept for a mammoth 17 hours on my first night here! Helen and Carly flew out to Perth as well this week so now there are four of us traveling together.
On our first day here we visited Fremantle, a large town just outside Perth. There was a street festival on for the day where there were street artists from across the world performing there tricks which was fun to watch. We then had fish and chips at a popular fish and chip restaurant in Fremantle. The fish was sooo fresh... the fish were swimming around in the tanks then on our plates :-). We couldn’t have asked for it to be any fresher!
The following day we visited the Margret River Choc factory! They had huge bowls of chocolate buttons u could help yourself to, so addictive and i went back to top up several times lol. We left feeling rather full, but still managed to fit a yummy roast dinner in at Emma uncles.
Going to Kings park in the centre of Perth was one of my favorite days in Perth. Carly Helen and I had a picnic in the park with stunning views of the city centre! Incredible that they had 400 hectares of parkland right in the centre of Perth. We also visited the Botanical gardens which was pretty.
Cottsloe beach just outside Perth was a beautiful beach... white sand and crystal clear water! Unfortunately I couldn’t go in the water tho because of my stinking cold :-( .
We celebrated our last night at a club in Perth. It was absolutely huge and everybody was sooooo glamorous! A good night out tho :-) .
