So we finally arrived in Cairns. But it was raining! But the heat made up for it. Our grumpy taxi driver dropped us at the corner of the Esplanade and just pointed casually down the street towards our hostel and didn't help us get our bags out of the car so we got nice and wet.
The hostel wasn't far, so we got straight to our room ignored the filthy sheets and showered. Best shower ever. So we ventured around a few blocks and decided to have dinner but after 30 minutes, I began to crash...
So after 48 hours of barely any sleep I slept right through from 8pm to 4am despite the heavy rain that I was scared would flood our room.
Today we decided to head to tourist information and sunbathe at the Lagoon on front of our hostel. Chill chill chill!!
Tomorrow is Good Friday and there is a bylaw which means you can't buy alcohol - will be interested to see how it changes the Main Street tomorrow night.
