On leaving the hostel we got completely drenched in a rain storm we should have guessed would hit our route to the city. But after drying off in a cafe, we let Pip explore the shops. We took her to the south bank and enjoyed the art shops! Back at the hostel we taught a Dutch couple how to play "s***head" and due to our 5.30am alarm we didn't stay up late. Bye Pip!!!

Before Pip was due to arrive we made the long trek to the Story bridge - which was a bit farther than we had realised. We got back just in time and Pip arrived! We got her all settled and then found a supermarket for important items such as alcohol and pasta. A few games of cards while watching tv and then bed!

An early coach took us to Brisbane. I slept most of the way. Our hostel looked nice. Our room was in the pool house - and stank of damp - YUCK! We went out straight away to the city. So happy to be in a city!!! We found the shopping precinct straight away and a tempting farmers market. The "South Bank" was identical to London's South Bank with big wheel, theatre and gallery.
