Yangshuo - Day 6
Yep, I was hungover. The girls in my room woke me up around 7.30 as they got up to go Kayaking and seemed to need the bacthroom and its light constantly for more than an hour.
I got up and tried to be useful. I went to the bus station and booked my ticket to Nanning. I then returned to my hostel and booked the hostel in Nanning. I even emailed the hostel there to enquire about a bus from Nanning to Hanoi. I wanted to get that sorted so I had one less thing to worry about. I cant remember what I have said already, but I have heard about a festival happening in Hanoi on 10/10/10 and that just happens to be the day I am travelling there!
Next I went and booked rock climbing for the following morning. I had spoken to a nice Belgian couple who told me they had booked it at a good price. I hired a bike from my hostel and set out up the Li River for a way and then back through town to go along the Yulong. I managed to find the path we missed a couple of days earlier and paused many times to take pictures. I was glad to escape into the countryside again and i worked off my hangover. The weather was wonderful again. I raced along the way we had gone the other day and with the evening setting in I made really good time.
I returned to the town and had some really good cheap Chinese food. It was nice to get away from all the western bars and western food that is so popular here. I was feeling pretty tired, but decided I would try the roof-top bar at Jane's again to see if I could find some of the others I had met there. I found one or two people, but the place was heaving and I really was exhausted.
I went to bed at 23.00 only to be kept up till gone midnight by the girls and their dratted bathroom obsession.
