Yangshuo Day 1
Yangshuo, as I have hinted at earlier, is a backpackers haven set in an incredible scenic location on the Li River. It is just an hour and a half bus ride from Guilin.
I found it difficult to find the bus, but eventually accepted an offer from a tout and negotiated a price that was too much, but still pretty cheap. The town is not very big and it was easy to find the main hostel street and I found the hostel bang on the time I said I would arrive. The hostel is pretty poor in terms of the rooms, toilet (only one chinese for my floor), and shower (in the toilet!), but the rooftop bar is awesome! The cheapest place to drink in town, with an excellent view and they do a cheap 'family dinner' which is a good way to meet people. I ended up playing drinking games with the people I met on the first night and met a group of American girls who talked me into going to the mud caves and hot springs in the morning.
Actually, I have to go and eat 'family dinner' again in ten minutes, so I better cut this blog off here. I will add day two tomorrow if I can.
