Well I made it! After saying bye to my family and trying really hard not to cry I nearly got in trouble from customs straight away! I showed my British passport (as I was told to do Im sure?) and the grumpy butch lady asked if I had two passports, how she knew Im not sure. I said yes and she proceeded to lecture me on how I must show my Aussie passport at australian airports or I may not get back in. So then I boarded my flight after browsing dutyfree and buying just one thing which I wont mention due to my parents lectures that may follow. Air NewZealand are GREAT it was very comfortable and the food was really nice. Not to mention the lovely wine I had. I had a beef stroganof pie with potato salad and the nicest icecream ever. Then I got off at Auckland and very nearly missed my connecting flight, I was a late-ish boarder. The flight from Sydney to Auckland was very short, the captain said 2 hours and 35 minutes. The flight to LA was great, the entertainment was on the back of the seats, the food was nice again and plentiful. I had crumbed fish fillets with mashed potato and vegetables and a fetta cheese and pumpkin rice salad. Plus wine again hehe. Then I crashed for SEVEN hours! So good, I woke up with just over three hours to go. After a breakfast of pancakes I was just about touching down. Then the lady asked if I wanted to hand out lollies to the passengers just like when I was little mum/dad. Hehe just kidding but they did get the two little boys in front of me to do so, just after we talked about it yesterday too, I thought that was funny! Customs at LAX was surprisingly quick, however the day earlier there was a bomb scare and the airport shut down so Im glad I wasnt arriving then. I walked outside and was helped by a Blue Shuttle employee with my bags. I waited about 5 minutes for the shuttle. The guy was funny, he was a black guy and when I asked where the bin was for my ciggie he said "Ya'll what?" "the bin, for my smoke" "huh?" "to put my ciggerette out in" he just laughed and told me to "stomp right on it". I just didnt want to get a fine. Anyways so I arrive at my hotel at around 5pm and check in. The place is nice, very comfortable. I couldnt work the shower though and had to have somebody come and turn it on for me while i was wrapped in a towel. Then I went to a girl from my tours hotel, her names jess. We walked down to Down Town Disney and had a look around. I was so so hungry so we decided on ESPN and got seated in these leather recliner lounges RIGHT in front of the massive cinema sized screens with baseball on it. We were surrounded by sports hungry people and got some funny looks when we ordered wine. About that, we looked at the wine list and saw the cheapest bottle of champagne was $12 so we ordered that, the girl said "is that to split?" and we were both like yeah of course! It arrives and its just a little poccolo one hehe we had half a glass each. The food was good, typical fatty food though. Cheesy fries and mini burgers with american cheddar and pickle! That was a starter, ten bucks and I looked like I hadnt touched it, I took a photo of the food AFTER I was full. I will pt some photos up when I have enough. By then I was tired so we walked back I said bye to Jess and went to bed by 11pm. I woke up at 3am WIDE AWAKE and read until 5am when it got light, then Igot ready and came here. So now you are up to scratch. There is only one computer in the lobby and no net cafes in Anaheim so this was the first opportunity I got. Today we head into Hollywood, and tonight we go to the Chateaui Marmont for dinner and drinks. Might have to get a little drunk before we go as it is going to be soooo expensive. PLEASE write on my message board on here, you can find it on top, one of the labels says message board. Thanks. Miss you guys xoxoxo
