In Kentucky we went to the National Corvette Museum! First we saw the new corvettes, then the 1953s 1987s 1999s etc etc They were amazing! Dad liked them most. In February this year a sink hole opened up overnight and swallowed 8 cars. They poured down into the hole and landed on top of each other. The blue devil got very little damage so it got restored and looks like new now. But not all the cars were so lucky. 5 of them look like they’ve been stomped on by dinosaurs! You can’t even tell which one is which. It was amazing and interesting (and a bit sad).
On the way back to our hotel we stopped at Nashville for the afternoon. What is cool about Nashville is that it has guitars about every 50 m. Mostly they are giant sized! There are signs that look like guitar picks and neon guitar signs and buildings that look like keyboards. We went to the Country Music Hall of Fame and recorded our own song for We Will Rock You and it didn’t go that well. Maybe we shouldn’t have let Dad sing with us…
We went to the famous Pancake pantry for lunch (yum) and on the way we got lost and ended up at the hospital.
We even visited the Parthenon. It’s supposed to be in Greece! But the Americans copied it, like they do. There was a funny sign on it that said “No skateboarding on the Parthenon”. I’m pretty sure in Ancient Greece signs didn’t say that!!
I wrote lots of words today because it was a long drive and I had a lot of time.

Laura Solbak Wow, we bet Dad was in his element at the Corvette Museum!! Nashville sounds (as in guitars!!) to have been fun. The Pancake House would have had lots of pancakes to choose from and I bet they were enormous portions?? Love from Us
