Lovewells vs The World
Gemma: Today we went to Death Valley. It is the hottest place on earth. When we visited it was 108 degrees Fahrenheit, that's about 42 degrees Celsius! We climbed up a small hill, and the view of the surrounding dunes was amazing. I just survived, and because I am not a fan of the heat, the trip was not as pleasant as it could have been, but it was still awesome! We also had to be watchful as this was the perfect territory for coyotes, scorpions, and rattlesnakes. Yikes! We learned that the barren valley was used for the filming of Star Wars. I don't fancy being dressed as a storm trooper in that heat. Because it was still sweltering after our walk, we went to a pool which had its deepest end at 9 feet deep. The pool was cold, but just what we needed on such a hot day. Later in the day we drove through a dusty, sandy flat plain. As we drove drove through it mini tornadoes burst out of nowhere, spiralling up to the sky. One hit our car and even though it was only small, we certainly knew about it! Overall, Death Valley was awesome, and a great drive for photos, and fun! Daniel: We went to Death Valley, climbed up a mini mountain and Looked over the plains of...somewhere, stop asking me where!!!!!! We took a few pictures and steadily climbed back down. The temperature got up to 107 Fahrenheit! Trust me,don't stay there too long or you will literally melt. We drank about 12 bottles of water. The good thing was we lived, but it was too much for us so we moved on to lunch and after that we played in the pool about 3 meters away, It was pretty close wasn't it? The deepest end was 9 feet deep! Death Valley is Wyllie coyote and roadrunner country but we didn't see any tnt or blue bird whizzing by going "beep beep". I got a cool souvenir coin with a big horn sheep on it. I loved Death Valley even though I never got to see a big cactus in the desert.
