Greetings again from Gracie Kelly's-- It's because they have wireless internet here. Last night we stayed at the Lion Lodge Hostel (tonight, too). It is very clean and quiet. Not too fun though and definitely no atmosphere character. Andrew snored all night, but if you know Drew, you know snoring is expected. We had bunk beds-- 6 people total to a room. I was on the top and he took the bottom. So everytime the snoring got too loud, I had to grab my jeans and smack him from the top of my bunk, haha.
Today was a great day! The weather was perfect-- Sunny and warm all day (except at the top of Mount Pilatus). We woke up at 7am and ate breakfast out. The typical Swiss breakfast is so small-- a cup of coffee and a crossant. I miss my eggs in the morning! After breakfast we went to the Market and stocked up on bottled water for our climb to Mount Pilatus. Although foggy, the mountain was beautiful! We took a 30 minute cable car ride up one side of the mountain, hiked, checked out the scenery for 2 hours (hoping the fog would clear up), and saw Mountain Goats. When it was time to come down the Pilatus, we took a 30 minute Cog Wheel Train to the bottom. The scenery was stunning. After the Cog Wheel Train we took a boat ride back to Lucerne-- again, stunning scenery and a beautiful view of Switzerland's country. I took many many pictures!! :)
Andrew and I made dinner tonight in the hostel. We made friends with the people we are sharing a room with and all went out together. They are from all over the world-- Columbia, Germany, South Korea, and Australia. We had a lot of good conversation. Learned a bit of German, too! Time to go-- off to Munich, Germany tomorrow to meet Jason!
Ciao-- Allie & Andrew
