Backpacking Europe: Summer 2009
Greetings from Prague, Czech Republic!
We are in an adorable cafe for breakfast called Conino Lamborghini. We discovered it yesterday and loved it, so we decided to come back again today! We are having Omlettes, freshly squeezed Fruit Juices and Cappuccino with a small Chocolate Chip Cookie on the side. If you ever come to Prauge, you MUST come to this cafe! Well, it looks like we have a lot of catching up to do, so lets start with our last day in Vienna--
Our last day in Vienna was relaxing. We woke up and had a breakfast at the hostel. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting-- cold cuts, rolls, and watered down coffee. Andrew spilled a large container full of milk all over the floor, which was funny considering he laughed when someone did it before him! The weather was beautiful again-- sunny and 80! After breakfast, we headed over to the Danube River. It was a great morning-- We rented a Paddle Boat and away we went. The guys (I couldn't paddle because I hurt my neck) paddled their way through the Danube-- but it was quite difficult! If they missed the water with their paddle, that was it, they would fall backwards. It was so funny and we had tons of good laughs! We also decided to have a little picnic on the Paddle Boat, so we bought cold cuts with rolls. The heros we made looked nice-- but tasted HORRIBLE! We obviously had no luck with food that day, haha.
Jason wants me to talk about his eventful night. He had a fun time at the hostel bar! There is this game they play down there-- The bartenders bring out about 50 Yager Shots and begin to play songs. The object of the game is to be the first person in the hostel bar to guess the song that is being played. If you are the first person to guess the song you win 1 free Yager Shot. Well, Jason won MANY free Yager shots-- and was not to keen on sharing them with others ;). So you can only imagine the type of night he had, haha! Andrew and I relaxed in the hostel's lounge that night and read our books (Diana, read # 5!).
Sadly, the next morning was not pleasant. We woke up at 6am to catch a 6:58am train to Prague. Since the train station was literally a two minute walk from our hostel, we were in no rush at all. We arrive at the train station only to find out there is no train to Prague at 6:58am-- or anytime after that. It turns out we were in the wrong train station and the right train station was on the other side of town. You could only imagine how mad we were-- I don't think one word was said on our way to the RIGHT train station. When we arrived, to our surprise, the 6:58am train was DELAYED! Can you believe that? We hopped on and away we went to Prauge (It took around 4 hours from Vienna to Prauge).
We figured out the, at first, very confusing currency system-- navigated our way through the subway-- and finally, arrived at our hostel...
Our hostel.........
We love all the comments! Miss everyone! XO
