Louise's Travels
We left the rainforest a couple of days ago and (after a detour to Kuala Lumpa with Katy and Kirsty) we came to the Cameron Highlands. The bus there was fairly interesting, we almost crashed into the back of about 6 cars as our driver didn't ever seem to have been taught about stopping distances. The final stretch of the journey was up a winding mountain road and Cate and I were in the front seat. Its fair to say we were both hanging onto our seats as he took literally every bend too fast - he had himself and the bus leaning over to the side at every turn (it was great fun!) Luckily our driver down was much better.
The highlands were very pretty, although quite cold and wet. We trekked for about 15km on the first day to one of the tea plantations (it didn't say it was 15km away on their signs) and then a shorter walk on the second day to another tea plantation. We've stocked up on lots of really nice tea. They also sold tea and scones everywhere so have eaten lots of those which were gorgeous.
We've come back to Kuala Lumpa now and so are hoping to shop and see the sights over the next few days.
Take care
